Efficiency Is the Key: Utah outhit No. 3 Washington on Friday in Seattle by a .270 to .246 margin, but the Huskies came away with the win to hand the Utes their first loss of this season when posting a higher hitting percentage than their opponents. Utah is now 17-1 this season in this scenario in 2013.

Chasing Win 700: The Utes boast an all-time record of 699-564 in school history for a .553 hitting percentage since the program became a varsity sport in 1975.

Ute Blockade: Utah is second in the conference with 2.91 blocks per set and the Utes were ranked ninth in the latest NCAA statistics. Utah has outblocked its opponents 19 times through 24 matches this season. The Utes are 16-3 when outblocking their opponents in 2013 with the Nov. 1 loss at No. 3 Washington, the Oct. 20 contest at No. 21 Oregon and the Sept. 29 match against USC as the team's only losses in that scenario in 2013.

Seeing Redd (Brandon): Senior middle blocker Erin Redd-Brandon (Spanish Fork, Utah) leads the Pac-12 and is 16th in the NCAA in blocking with 1.41 blocks per set and ranks 10th with a .355 hitting percentage in the overall stats. She is second on the team with 2.39 kills per set this season. In the league-only stats, Redd-Brandon is tied for fifth with 1.30 kills per set in league play and is sixth in the Pac-12 with a .365 hitting percentage against league opponents. Redd-Brandon is fourth in school history with 525 career total blocks and her 497 career block assists also ranks fourth in school history.
