Double-Double Streak Continues: Sophomore outside hitter Chelsey Schofield (Provo, Utah) has turned in double-double performances in each of Utah's last four matches. She registered 3.67 digs and 3.33 kills per set last weekend in home matches against No. 8 USC and No. 6 UCLA. Marvelous Morgan: Junior outside hitter Morgan Odale (Star, Idaho) went for 2.56 kills and 2.00 digs per set per last weekend. She fell just one dig shy of recording a double-double in both of Utah's last matches. Bailing Out the Block: With 158 block assists in 2012, sophomore middle blocker Bailey Bateman (Hooper, Utah) is already tied with Kim Turner (2001) for the sixth-highest single-season total in school history. She needs five more to tie Lori Baird (163 in 2007) for the fifth-highest single-season total in the Utah record book.
Bateman has 163 total blocks this season and needs to average 3.25 blocks per match to tie Sheila Cottrell-Sorensen (176 in 1985) and Linda Byington (176 in 1991) for 10th in the Utah single-season record book.
Lea Leads the Ute Back Row: Sophomore libero Lea Adolph (Waltrop, Germany) is averaging 3.16 digs and 0.16 service aces per set over Utah's last four matches, all starts. Adolph has reached double-figures in digs in each of the Utes' last four matches. She has surpassed the 10-dig mark 10 times in 2012 and 14 times during her career.
Scalding Spurrier: Sophomore right-side hitter Alli Spurrier (Salt Lake City, Utah) is averaging 1.42 kills per set with a .270 hitting percentage in Utah's last six matches. Spurrier turned in a career-high-tying mark of eight kills and hit .368 to go with five blocks on Friday against USC. This was the third time that Spurrier tied her career-high mark in kills this season and finished just one block shy of tying her career high for the second time.
