The Utah volleyball team concluded its second Pac-12 Conference season with a 14-19 overall record and a 5-15 mark, good for ninth place in the most competitive volleyball league in the country.

Utes In the NCAA Blocking Ranks: Utah finished sixth in the NCAA and second in the Pac-12's latest statistical rankings with a 3.00 block-per-set average as a team. Including league-games only, Utah improved to second in the league with 2.94 blocks per set during Pac-12 matches.

Chelsey Doubles Up: Sophomore outside hitter Chelsey Schofield (Provo, Utah) was Utah's top attacker in 2012 with a team-high average of 3.19 kills per set and has also chipped in 2.36 digs per set for the Ute defense. Schofield led Utah with 3.19 kills per set this season and was third on the squad with 2.39 digs per set. Her 1,147 attempts are the 10th-most in a single season in school history.

Reaching Redd: Junior middle blocker Erin Redd (Spanish Fork, Utah) turned in a .349 hitting percentage this season, the fifth-highest mark for a single season in school history and is currently hitting .324 over her career, which would land her third on the school's career list. Redd is already ninth in school history with 368 block assists and needs just four more to pass Teresa McCabe (371 from 1991-94) for seventh. Redd owns 391 career total blocks and needs just six more to overtake Karolina Bartkowiak (396 from 2007-10) for 10th place in the school record book. She needs just nine more total blocks to become the 10th member of Utah's 400-block club. Redd has totaled 820 career kills and needs 180 more to become the 14th member of Utah's 1,000-kill club. Redd set a new school five-set match record with 13 block assists on Aug. 24 at Utah State.

Bailey Balling: Sophomore middle blocker Bailey Bateman (Hooper, Utah) finished ninth in blocking in the NCAA's statistical rankings and was second in the Pac-12 statistics with an average 1.53 blocks per set overall. In league matches, Bateman ranked second in the conference with a 1.52 block-per-set average. With 182 block assists this season, Bateman turned in the third-highest single-season total in school history. Bateman took over fifth on Utah's single-season total blocks chart with 188.

Miss 1,000: Junior outside hitter Morgan Odale (Star, Idaho) is currently 13th in school history with 1,020 career kills and is already seventh in the Utah record book with 3,141 attempts. Odale also has 96 career aces and needs just four more to become the 14th member of the school's 100-ace club. She led the team and was second in the Pac-12 with 0.33 aces per set and was third in the league with 0.33 service aces per set during conference matches.
