Ute Competition Facilities
The Ute cross country and track and field teams have great training and competition facilities. The Ute cross country team competes at a local golf course, while the track and field team calls Tally Stevens Track Stadium home.
Utah's cross country and track and field programs train and compete at an elevation of 4,500 feet. The surrounding foothills and mountains provide plenty of opportunities for hill climbing, while the Salt Lake valley offers a relatively flat training terrain. The Ute track and field team shares modern, scenic Tally Stevens Track Stadium with the city of Salt Lake.
A new throwing ring, located on Guardsman Way next to the Eccles Tennis Center, was built in 2001.
