Upcoming Event: Softball versus Utah Valley on October 2, 2025 at 4 p.m.

The Utah men's and women's basketball programs pay homage to the USS Salt Lake City and her crew with customized Under Armour jerseys on Thursday, Feb. 24, in a double-header with the women taking on Oregon State at 5:30 p.m. before the men battle Arizona at 9 p.m. inside the Jon M. Huntsman Center.
WOMEN'S BASKETBALL vs. OREGON STATE
• ALL active and military veterans can purchase $2 tickets with valid military ID
• Show your Men's Basketball ticket stub for a $2 ticket to the Women's Basketball game
MEN'S BASKETBALL vs. ARIZONA
• ALL active and military veterans receive 50% off with valid military ID
• Fans will get a chance to win a TV at both the women's and men's basketball games
• To enter, fans must show their game ticket to the marketing attendance and fill out a form at Portal 9 inside the Jon M. Huntsman Center
• To win, fan must be present at halftime when the winner is announced at each respective game
HONORING THE USS SALT LAKE CITY
• The uniforms feature a distinctive camouflage (front lettering and side panels) design from the warship
• In place of traditional player naming, “USS Salt Lake City” will line the back of each player’s jersey, top for the men’s and bottom for the women’s
• Each uniform includes a single battle star, signifying the 11 battle stars earned by the heavy cruiser
• “One Ship Fleet” is seen on the inside neckline of both uniforms, a nickname given to the USS Salt Lake City because of its many victories during WWII
A variety of items listed below will be on display for fans to see and learn more about the USS Salt Lake City, her crew and her history before, during and after the game throughout the concourse.
Pop Up Museum
• Several display items along with text description, including images painted by University of Utah's very own Dave Meikle depicting various events involving the USS Salt Lake City
• A detailed look at the uniforms, the various uniform elements and the significance of each element and how they relate back to the ship
USS Salt Lake City Replica
• Normally housed at the Ft. Douglas Military Museum, fans will get a chance to see a 6' x 2' x 5' replica of the USS Salt Lake City on display
• The replica display will also give fans a look into what the ship looked like with sailors attending their daily activities on the USS Salt Lake City
Photo Opportunities
• Fans will have an opportunity to take a photo in front of a backdrop depicting the USS Salt Lake City painted by Dave Meikle
• The uniforms adorned by Utah Football will also be on display along with the jerseys the men's and women's basketball programs will be wearing that night
